The 2015 Domaine de L'A, the Cotes de Castillon from Stephan Derenoncourt, is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. It has a very concentrated bouquet driven by the very expressive and opulent Merlot, with figgy, date scents tucked in just behind giving it some exoticism. The palate is sweet on the entry with cassis and black cherry notes. There is plenty of sucrosity here, very generous in the mouth, this usually represents good value and it is certainly well made. - The Wine Advocate
