Meet the Team

Moved to Singapore to join Berry Bros & Rudd as an Account Manager in 2019, now the Regional Manager for South East Asia managing the Singapore team. My absolute favorite regions for wines are Burgundy & Champagne (a young crisp Blanc de Blancs and especially Artisan/grower options). Outside of work, my weekends are reliant on my first love Arsenal (yes even before wine) and I currently play as a semi-professional footballer. I love running in the morning to maintain a healthy lifestyle and start the day fresh! At home, my wife and I have a Shiba Inu named “Mouton” who currently benefits from the two parents dual income/no children lifestyle and needs lots of attention, while we also have a cat named… “Cat”, who would like less attention as long as his food bowl is always full.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Jacky's palate was developed since he was young by his father who operated a Chinese tea shop. His father also encouraged and helped Jacky become a wine lover by introducing him to wine from Bordeaux top châteaux. After getting his degree in Media and Cultural studies and working in Canada, China and Hong Kong, Jacky started his wine career with a local wine merchant in 2008 and joined another UK fine wine broker in 2011, where he has gained rewarding knowledge in fine wine trade and obtained his WSET advanced level certificate. Jacky then joined Berry Bros. & Rudd in June 2015.

Jacky enjoys mostly wines from the old world and some of his favorite producers are Ponsot, Leroy, Comte Lafon, Quintarelli and Palmer. Beside the time he spent with his friends enjoying wine, Jacky is a huge football fan who enjoys swimming and wakeboarding on a sunny summer weekend.

After studying business management and working in the Food & Beverage Management group, Serena began her wine journey when she joined Berry Bros. & Rudd in 2016. She continues to strive for the unknown and expand her vinous horizons. She has a particular interest in Red Burgundy and German Riesling, while her passion for wines from Alsace continues to grow.

Apart from wine, Serena enjoys learning about architecture and interior design, exploring bars and restaurants, and practising yoga.

I am originally from the vibrant city of Chengdu, China, renowned for its pandas, culinary delights, and Chinese baijiu. Growing up amidst family gatherings filled with both sumptuous feasts and spirited conversations laid the foundation for my appreciation of the finer things in life.

My school journey led me to Canada (Montreal and Vancouver) for seven years, including a transformative semester experiencing school life in Europe. Graduated from the Sauder Business school in University of British Columbia in Vancouver, I initially ventured into the professional realm in Canada before making Hong Kong my home in 2007. It was moving to Hong Kong that I discovered my true passion—wine. Joining a wine trading firm marked the beginning of an incredible learning journey. Every day became an opportunity to deepen my understanding of wine, leading me to complete my WSET Diploma.

For me, wine is more than a beverage; it's a magical force that brings people together. I cherish the connections forged with clients who have evolved into dear friends over the past 10+ years working in the wine industry. This interpersonal aspect is a driving force behind my dedication to this craft. Outside the realm of wine, my passions span photography, gemology, art, and travel—an appreciation for all the beauty life has to offer. In March 2015, I joined Berry Bros. & Rudd, where I continue to be part of an exceptional team, sharing the joy of wine with enthusiasts around the globe.

The perfect night in for Jonathan Leung includes a glass of Jean Grivot Vosne Romanée Les Suchot 2012, diced 48-month Iberico ham, and perhaps a tune or two on his guitar. However, the self-described extrovert is equally comfortable hosting wine tastings, and sharing his love of all things wine, including a soft spot for worldwide cuisines & history story telling.

Jon honed his wine expertise at passing WSET Level 3, joined Berry Bros. & Rudd in April 2023 and continues to refine his palate through wine judging, hosting wine tastings and events.

Phebe’s background is in marketing and public relations, where she has over eight years of experience in the field. Originally from Hong Kong, she graduated with an economics major from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, before moving back to her hometown in 2011 to work for one of the leading wine distributors in Greater China. This is where her passion for wine developed and she completed the WSET Advanced level certificate.

In 2013, she joined Berry Bros. & Rudd, where she leads and manages events for wine producers, trade and private customers while overseeing communications and marketing campaigns for the brand. She now provides marketing support to the company’s Japan and Singapore offices and continues to improve her wine knowledge through tastings and working with experts.
