The 2009 Le Chambertin Grand Cru from Domaine Rossignol-Trapet exudes mellow but glowing red, purple and black fruit flavours. On the one hand the fruit is very tightly wound, but it nonetheless expands majestically the longer the wine stays in the mouth, with a surprisingly refined finish after the sumptuous fruit. It is hard to do justice to this wine with words.
