2022 Mâcon-Pierreclos, En Crazy, Domaine Guffens-Heynen, Burgundy

The 2022 Maçon-Pierreclos En Crazy, tasted direct from barrel, has a crisp nose with Granny Smith apples intermixed with pear and light brioche. Not complex, yet pure and delineated. A fine silver bead of acidity marks the palate, taut and fresh, with attractive notes of bitter lemon and more pear surfacing toward the finish. This is a very capable Mâcon-Pierreclose.
