2013 Clos de Vougeot, Grand Cru, Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux, Burgundy

An expressive and notably more elegant than usual nose offers up notes of various red berries, floral, earth, spice and game, all of which is trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is excellent richness, volume and concentrated power to the caressing yet serious medium weight plus flavors that display very fine length on the dusty and youthfully austere finale. This should mature into a strikingly good example of the appellation though note that this will probably drink less well young so patience will be required. - Burghound
