Wallow in warm Umbrian summer brambly fruit, the nose pings with raspberries zip yet is also laid back, nonchalant. Similarly the palate’s a real charmer, with no tannins to speak of, so easy, lush, fairly medium/full bodied, yet bright and alive, mystical too as it ebbs this way and then that across the palate. A wonderful wine of the soil, of the place, of Montefalco. Drinking now with the likes of turkey or chook.
