This a blend from 10 parcels, vines averaging 50 years old. There’s 70% new wood, the balance being second-fill barrels. There’s a nice creamy texture to the wine, and quite a lot of ripeness. The wood tannins hold the wine, but also dry the finish a little. This is always a wine requiring considerable patience. Drink 2025-2030.
