ready-keep2018 Langhe Nebbiolo, Cascina Fontana, Piedmont

A blend from Mario’s Castello di Sinio vineyard, which lies just outside Serralunga, and fruit from Il Pozzo in Castiglione Falletto. A short vinification in stainless steel is followed by six months Eageing, 50% in concrete tank and 50% in old 10-hectolitre Slavonian oak botte. Mario’s trademark lightness of touch has created a charming, juicy wine with soft, fleshy red fruit and an almost saline finish. Delicate, precise and superbly fresh. Drink now to 2030.
