2023 The Sadie Family Wines Skerpioen Die Distriksreeks Swartland

Always a pleasure to get to try the Sadie Family wines. Skerpioen is a blend of Chenin Blanc and Palomino from one of the coolest parts of Swartland, just 2 km from the atlantic. The wine is left on lees in the cask for the entire 12 months (old oak and Acacia foudre). Lime, citrus and salty mineralness extends through the mouth and finish. This is a fresh and balanced wine with loads of excitement to it. Drink 2025 - 2035.
