Here, the wood is less subtle, though it stops short of being invasive on the ripe, brooding and layered nose of various dark berries, forest floor, game and smoky hints. The super-sleek and highly energetic medium-weight plus flavours possess excellent delineation and an abundance of minerality that comes to the fore on the dusty, moderately austere and sneaky long finale that is more structured still. While this possesses very fine development potential, it will need at least 5 to 7 years first as it’s presently quite tightly wound.
