Back in the fold after last year’s absence, this comes from the triangle of vines that protrudes between the Grands Crus Charmes and Griotte. It’s rare for a village wine to abut the Grands Crus; the result is an interesting, smoky, peaty nose and a fine, serious edge. There’s much more here than sunshine and ripeness. Drink 2022-2027.
