Somewhat unusually, he shows it after Montée de Tonnerre and Fourchaume in the tasting line-up, but the wine always more than holds its own. The 2018 vintage was warm and sunny, but the long élevage practised in this cellar has refined the wine, bringing more tension and minerality. The nose offers plenty of floral notes and a hint of dairy and sea spray neatly supported by subtle oak.
