drink-now2002 Champagne Jacquesson, Millésime, Dégorgement Tardif, Extra Brut

This is a blend across the Jacquesson brothers’ terroirs: 57% Pinot Noir and 43% Chardonnay, from the Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs. The wine is savoury, toasty and intense, with ripe fruit, baked apricots, toffee apples and the fine golden crumb of French patisserie. The palate is voluminous, typical of the generous vintage defined by saline minerality  Eand of Jacquesson’s terroir-driven style. It was bottled the summer following harvest and disgorged in December  E7. Drink now to 2028.
