We were a bit fearful towards the end, as ripening picked up quickly, but we were prepared for an August harvest. All the fruit came in between August 20 through 29, the earliest ever,” he added. Yields were a generous 40 to 45 hectoliters, a stark difference from 2021, when yields were less than 10 hectoliters per hectare. The palate is well balanced with good concentration and slightly waxy in texture. Fine depth with that spicy leitmotif return on the finish.
